November 19th Engineers Meeting
Wednesday, November 19, 2025, 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM CST
Category: Events
In this training, attendees will learn from an experienced HVAC installer how dual fuel heat pump rooftop units (RTUs) can help meet energy savings goals. Attendees will also learn how energy recovery ventilators (ERVs) can improve indoor air quality by increasing ventilation without increasing energy consumption and bills. By utilizing both technologies, building owners can reduce energy use and reliance on natural gas while ensuring occupant comfort, even in Minnesota’s cold winters and humid summers. Building owners and facility managers will learn how a growing interest in energy efficient technologies can help attract and retain tenants while also lowering monthly energy use. Additionally, attendees will learn how to stack utility rebates and green funding opportunities to reduce upfront costs in installing these systems. Ian Swanson has worked as an installer, designer, and consultant in the HVAC industry and has two decades of teaching and training experience. He attended Dunwoody College for trade school, Bethel Mennonite College for his undergraduate and the College of St. Scholastica for graduate school.
